EHR Physician Advisors are required to complete the Institute for Physician Advisor Certification (IPAC™) program, a comprehensive curriculum consisting of didactic and continuing mentoring education providing EHR Physician Advisors with the training and experience required to fulfill their multitude of responsibilities and to become advocates for the healthcare provider. Every physician is required to earn and maintain certification, and undergo extensive specialized training in clinical medicine, utilization management, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and hospital finance.
